The Christmas Tree

Anyone who has a toddler knows what a challenge it is to have a Christmas tree for the holidays. We were no exception! Jack was pretty obsessed with the ornaments and lights for a few days, but the novelty wore off and we were able to get through the week without too much damage!

Seeing the tree for the first time... there were virtually zero ornaments on the bottom 3 feet of the tree in our attempt to keep Jack from tearing them all off.

Straight for the lights! Jack would say "Lights! Hot!" and then gently pinch the bulbs before laughing.

And then onto the ornaments.

We taught Jack how to "smell" the tree (which really smelled wonderful). He'd run up to the tree, stick his nose and face right into it and sniff sniff sniff sniff sniff sniff. It was hilarious!

Our tree is now in the front yard, quietly waiting to be picked up by Waste Management. Poor thing - it was a good tree. Jack certainly thought so!
