ALMOST one year ... but in the meantime, RED SOX, walking and maintenance!

I still cannot wrap my mind around the idea of Jack turning ONE tomorrow. We're saying good-bye to our first year and looking back with beautiful memories. I just hope life starts to slow down a little bit!! Above is, again, a photo of Jack waving out the window when I go to work. This time one of our cats, Turtle, joined him. Too cute.
Before I post photos from Jack's first year, though, it's GO RED SOX! Some of you may think that the Little Guy would be a Rockies fan ... do not fret, Red Sox Nation, Jack is a die hard! Below are pictures taken yesterday on our way to the playround.

Since the last time I posted a blog a lot has happened - most important, Jack has started to walk! On April 12th (Auntie Amy's birthday, no less!) Jack stood up, gathered his confidence, and took off! He's now walking at an impressive click around the house and on the pavement. Grass is a different story and I don't think that he quite knows what to do with it. Soon enough, he'll understand it's squishy nature and then WATCH OUT WORLD!

We've also managed to work on the house a good deal. Mimi was the work horse behind the gardening and landscaping and the yard looks wonderful. Tulips, daffodils and a few other random flowers have popped up adding little pockets of color here and there. The existing in-ground trampoline (hopefully) will be removed this week, the hole filled, and the golf course guys that I work with will come and place sod. The hot tub is going to be drained and filled today, I've started to gather items to make the back deck an additional room and the grill is going every night. Spring/Summer is in the air! Indoors, the downstairs painting project begins tomorrow and should be done just in time for Grampa G.! No manual labor on the agenda for this visit! We've completed all of the painting upstairs and each room has it's own personality. We love it.

On the work front, I've changed jobs. I'm still with the Roaring Fork Club, but have switched positions to the Communications Director. I'm in the process of training and learning the ropes of computers. For those of you who know me and technology, well, let's just say that I have a lot to learn! But, I'm quick to process new information and I'm really excited for a new project and challenge. I'll be able to write a lot more, which is wonderful. All in all, timing was perfect for this transition!

Gerald is half way through his Real Estate course which meets for 6 weeks, Thursday - Sunday 9-5. Long days, with a lot of legal matter to contend with, but he's a very dedicated student! It'll prove a useful tool in the future.

Well, that's that for now. Stay tuned for a recap of Jack's first year and photos of our ONE YEAR OLD!!!! Whoa.
