Paonia Orchard and Market

It was just too hot to go to the pool today, so we decided to hop in the car instead and head over McClure Pass to the farming town of Paonia. My Mom and I have been testing different local organic produce providers, so we were curious to see which farms some of our items had been grown at. After a brief snooze, Jack was excited to run around the orchard and take his hand at the farm truck - with his Daddy, who he's missed a lot this week. Gerald has been super busy juggling the restaurant and real estate. We were glad to have him home for the day!

We stocked up on jams, salsas, marinades, cherries and jerky and hit the road back. Between the intense heat, the curves of the road, and teething (oh, and having shots two days ago) Jack just couldn't handle it. Poor little guy threw up all over the place on the ride home. Needless to say, he was glad to be back in the cool house after a nice bath....

Oh my goodness! Poor little guy! Teething has proved to be the absolute worst part of parenting in our house. I'm so glad that Jillian only has 2 more molars to go!

Cari,
I love your blog. Jack is beautiful! Don't they grow up way too quickly? Hope you are enjoying the rest of your summer.
