Holiday Cheer

We had our first snow fall the other day... it wasn't much, but it was enough to start getting us into the Holiday Spirit. So, we bundled the little guy up and went into Aspen for the Annual Lighting of the Sardy House Tree. The Sardy House is an old historical building in downtown Aspen that is host to possibly the largest pine tree in town. Each year, they decorate it in strings of magenta, electric blue and lime green lights and hold an evening to bring the town together. Christmas carols are sung, hot chocolate and toddies served, and yes, Santa is there. Along with hundres of half exicted, half terrified children at the sight of the fat man. Jack was part of the half terrified. He lasted about one minute with the cameras, cheering and faces and lost it. Poor little guy. He didn't even get to tell Santa what he wanted!
The next night, we decided to get a photo for our holiday card. Gerald and Jack came over to the Club where I work and we began the struggle to get "the shot". Christmas lights, stuffed snowmen, candles, Nut Crackers.... Jack wanted to get his hands on everything. Needless to say, after close to 100 photos, I think we managed to get one. Oh, 'tis the season!

"I'm ready to hit the slopes..."

"... and the skis will go right on these two feet..."

Not so happy outside of the Sardy House. Notice the lip starting to turn downward :)

Below are photos taken at the Roaring Fork Club, where I work. Jack was such a wiggle worm!

Photo #99. Jack has had it - definitely time to head home!

Great family photos! Jillian is a 1 in 100 girl as far as holiday photos go too. I must jump up and down and talk in the highest pitch ever just to get her to smile. I'm glad it's over! Cards are hitting the mail on Monday.
