The Holidays are Approaching....

Well, the family begins trickling in over the next few days, and we're ready for them! Grampa G. arrives on Friday, Auntie Amy on Sunday and Mimi on Christmas Eve. It's definitely going to be a busy week - we close on our new house on the 26th while Gerald is in the midst of his busiest time of the year. There will be plenty to celebrate, though - family, a good dumping of snow, food and drink, and lest we forget: Jack's first Christmas! Come to think of it, this is the first Christmas that we're all going to be together in over 5 years! Very exciting...

On the Jack front, we've had 2 visits with Santa so far, and both times he was more interested in eating his beard than anything else! He seems to be aware of 'something' - he loves the Christmas tree and tries to get at it every chance he can, he gets into all of the wrapping paper and manages, somehow, to destroy most of the cards. Once again, he makes it all seem oh-so-cute. He's crawling everywhere at this point, and at an incredible pace. It's amazing how quickly his body is adjusting to such changes! He's accomplished the big crawl-to-sitting-position and seems to be rather proud of himself. Mommy and Daddy certainly are!

Here are a few recent photos!

The next couple of photos are from our hike up Mushroom Rock with Mt. Sopris in the distance. Not a bad backyard, eh?

Fast asleep and bundled in fleece.

A nice bath to warm up... Jack LOVES bath time, especially now that we're moving into the "Big Boy" bath tub!

This face melts my heart. Everytime.

Ok, until next time!
