St. Patrick's Day & Easter - Spring is in the air!

With Easter being so early this year, we celebrated two holidays within a week - and we celebrated in style! Grampa G. bought Jack his first pair of real cowboy boots, straight from Texas. As if learning how to walk isn't hard enough, we've been cramming his fat little feet into the boots with the hopes that he'd stomp around. But, between wobbly legs and fat pads, the boots have been more of an accessory. They did, however, complete his outfit for St. Patrick's Day! With his shiny black boots and leprechaun hat (given to him by Sarah Linn at my baby shower - before Jack was even here!) Jack was ready to hit the St. Patty's Day party at Snowmass Mountain with Mimi. He loved every minute - the drums, the dancers and all of the green. It was a big hit.

After an enormous snow fall of close to 300 inches in the mountains, spring has finally begun to show here in Colorado. We took Jack for his first playground visit the other day and he couldn't get enough of the bucket swings. I forgot to bring his gloves, so I had to put my extra pair on him. Oooops.

The following weekend, Jack met the Easter Bunny. I don't think he was too keen on the oversized rabbit, but he was definitely into the egg hunt. He was only able to snag one egg, since the big kids were a bit faster than him...

We're all looking forward to the spring - it's been a loooong winter (the first snow fall was mid October!). The weather will be warming up just as Jack will be ready to run! He's taken a few cautious steps here and there, but by his first birthday (which is in one short month - I can't believe it!) he'll be ready to GO!
