Grampa G. and Gerald took Jack back to Nickerson State Park while my Mom and I went shopping for fall clothes for the little guy. It was all about being a boy at the park. Water faucets, rocks, mud, running around - it wouldn't be complete without bumps and bruises. Jack took off sprinting the second he got there, hit an acorn and landed on his face. Poor little guy! He was scraped up ...

Notice how wet he is - fell/jumped into a puddle.

The boo-boo didn't dampen his spirits! He had so much fun...

We wanted to take Jack back to the ocean, the bayside in Brewster, but it was far too windy. So, we went to Blueberry Pond instead. The waters were calm and Jack was right back in there...

Daddy showing Jack some rocks. Life is one big Science Project, isn't it?

Our last weekend back East was spent in New York for Mary's wedding. Mimi and Grampa G. were kind enough to keep Jack with them while we went and we were able to enjoy our first weekend (first night, actually!) away from Jack. It was bitter sweet. And though we missed him, it was nice to have an adult weekend.

Now I have to ask--does "Grandpa G" get a little bent out of shape when Jack bumps his head? My dad practically flies through the roof every time he sees Jillian fall (even minor ones.) I have to remind him NOT to react and get upset--it's like dealing with two crying babies! :-) He's getting better though.
